Audatex Adds Ford to Brands Supported by AudaVIN
AudaVIN, an advanced vehicle identification technology, integrates vehicle-specific information into the Audatex platform for more accurate collision damage estimates and faster, consumer friendly total loss claims settlements.
Nov 2, 2016 – Audatex North America, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Solera Holdings, Inc., the leading global claims solutions provider serving the automotive industry, today announced Ford brands will join a growing list of global vehicle brands supported in the U.S. and Canada by its AudaVIN vehicle identification technology on November 7, 2016. The first phase of deployment includes 2005 – 2010 Ford branded private passenger auto and trucks through the F-250 line. Additional model year and brand coverage will be deployed regularly through the remainder of the 2016 calendar year.
Existing AudaVIN customers will automatically have access to new coverage of the Ford brands as they are deployed.
When the full scope of the deployments is completed, AudaVIN will support 90 percent of the Ford, Lincoln and Mercury product lines for model years 2000 – 2017, giving Audatex customers access to more than 55 million VINs to deliver more accurate collision damage estimates and faster, consumer friendly total loss claims settlements. With this large expansion, Audatex will provide manufacturers build data for 65% of the US and 50% of the Canada market, 30% more coverage than our nearest competitor. This gives our insurance and collision repair partners a stronger competitive edge in the market, and the technology tools they need to increase estimating accuracy, expedite claims settlements, and drive higher levels of customer satisfaction.
AudaVIN utilizes VIN data to give insurance claim representatives, appraisers and collision repair estimators complete vehicle-specific information, as recorded by manufacturers on the production line. The AudaVIN software is the only vehicle identification technology on the market to integrate this information into the estimating platform. Everything from exterior paint and interior trim data, to the vehicle’s make, model, edition, production date, standard equipment, factory-installed options, and engine and transmission details may be included.
By identifying the more complex regular production options (RPOs) and packages on the vehicle, AudaVIN goes beyond traditional VIN decode technologies to provide complete and accurate vehicle-specific information in seconds. The result is significant reduction in inspection time, more accurate parts identification, more precise damage estimates and total loss valuations, and improvements in first call settlement rates.
With the increase in vehicle complexity across all makes, modes and price points it is more important than ever to address consumer concerns regarding options and package missed in the inspection process that, if overlooked, can reduce a vehicle’s actual cash value (ACV) by hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
Featuring automatic or one-click VIN decoding, AudaVIN is fully integrated with Audatex estimating and valuation solutions and services providing claims handlers, appraisers and estimators a streamlined vehicle identification process, through web, mobile and service interfaces. AudaVIN supports more than 33 brands globally, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mini, Smart, Volkswagen, Volvo, Audi, Porsche, GM, Subaru, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Mazda, Land Rover, Chrysler – and now, Ford.
